Беланташ

Тракийското скално светилище Беланташ се намира в Добростанския планински масив, във високопланинската част на Асеновградска община. Отстои на около 30 км. югоизточно от Асеновград. Паметникът е предмет на научни интереси на специалисти от 1975 г. насам.
Скалното плато е дълго около 300 метра и широко около 40 метра, височината му е 50 метра. Бeланташ – това е съставна дума от българското „белан”, което на родопски диалект означава бял или хубав и турското „таш”- камък, от тук и в превод означава Белия, или Хубавия камък. Някои го наричат просто „Родопският Стоунхендж”.
Хронологическият период на съществуване на светилището се определя от края на халколита до края на ІV в. – началото на V в. след Христа. Вероятно е било „древна обсерватория”, откъдето тракийските жреци от местното племе беси гадаели по звездите. Изсечени от човешка ръка, още в древността, груби стъпала водят към скално плато, осеяно със стотици малки и по- големи ямки – жертвените олтари на жреците. С Белинташ се свързва и култа към тракийския бог на Слънцето – Сабазий.
